Welcome to Black Horse Ranch!

We are a small horse ranch located on 26 acres in North Central Indiana.
Located just 2 miles South of Lake Maxincuckee in Culver,46511.
Fishing, Swimming, Boating, Horseback riding!

We have a herd of horses we keep to train, ride and breed. We purchased our Friesian Stallion to offer to full blooded Friesian mares and cross-breeds. As a Jasper colt, Sabian is a perfect reflection of the Frieisan Breed. We hope to open the market to people who cant afford high dollar Friesians. We are looking for a suitable mare to help us along with this wish so if you come across one please contact us.

We recently purchased a Registered Clydesdale Mare named "DLF Valhallalujah". A.K.A. "Holly"
After we dressed her out in her new Parade Harness we decided to call her "Holly Davidson"!
Once people see her, for some reason they insist on calling her "Holly Cow,
probably because of her size, she is 18+ Hands and still growing at the age of three!
She is a perfect speciman of a Clydesdale mare, her DamSire is Broadlea Classic Joe.
He Sired over 8 National Clydesdale Champions in his breeding career!

Holly is a blast to ride! If you like an easy going, non-spooky horse then try out a Clyde!
Dont let their size scare you, they are the cadalliac of horses!

Holly will be our foundation mare for Gypsy Drum Horses. I like the Drum horses because they are larger and the size is more suitable for riding than a Gypsy vanner is. A Vanner typically stands at 14-15 Hands, barely over Pony size and they are mostly used for Driving.

Galway Warrior is my idea of a perfect Drum Horse!
Wow is he a beauty, and I hope to duplicate him in my breeding career.

I also have an Anglo-Arab that I purchased as my first horse. She wasnt even trained to walk on a lead rope when I bought her. Now after working with her, she is broke to ride, does circles, lounges, and is an awesome riding trail horse. She is high level hot, but has never bolted, bit, kicked, or acted out in any way. We have been practicing on the barrels and she seems to love it! She also likes the trails and looks forward to being with me and getting all the attention to herself. She knows how to fetch and also gives kisses!

I traded my other mare for a pony for my daughter to ride, that was a sad day as she was very special mare, but she has a very nice home and a gentle man to complete her training.

But the pony.. LOL! This pony is the Ultimate, his name is PUDGE!
He chases the Clydesdale around and plays with her.
He is the funniest pony I have ever come across.
He even knows how to smile!

If your interested in any of our horses,
Give us a call and see what's available.

My horses will only be sold to appropiate and loving homes.
Hopefully for the purposes for which they are trained.

We appreciate you visiting our site, have a nice day!
